VI Peel

#1 Chemical Peel that treats Acne, Melasma, Aging Skin, Hyperpigmentation, Acne Scarring

The VI Peel is a formula consisting of a blend of powerful ingredients that helps improve skin tone, texture and clarity. It softens fine lines and wrinkles, and restores a more even skin tone by reducing age spots and sun damage. This peel is sub-dermal which means it peels more than just the top layer giving the client “baby skin”. It “peels” away surface damage and lightens underneath damage. In addition, it contains ingredients that address most of my clients concerns. It improves texture by smoothing away rough skin to reveal a more youthful, glowing complexion.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VI PEELS AND OTHER CHEMICAL PEELS?

Unlike other chemical peels, VI peels are virtually painless, require no skin preconditioning and, have minimal downtime and include a comprehensive patient take care kit. VI peels are suitable for exfoliating the face and body. They also have vitamins and minerals which nurture the skin at the same time as it is going through the exfoliation process. These peels are practical, affordable and give excellent results to patients in as little as one (1) week. VI Peels are suitable for a variety of skin types and concerns. The VI Peel also comes with a take home kit that includes Post Peel Towelettes, Post Peel Protectant, and VI Derm SPF 50+ to help with healing during the exfoliation process.

What if my peel is done in the evening?

If peel is done around evening time, they apply the first towelette four hours’ post (before bed) and then the night one instructions are pushed to next morning (day 2). The patient would wake up day two, cleanse skin, apply towelette(s) and then wait 10 min and apply a layer of post peel protectant and then SPF 50+ from the VI post peel kit. The patient can then go about their day (makeup can be worn if desired). Then last towelettes would be done as normal as night 2 instructions state. The overall idea is for all towelettes to be used within first 48 hours after peel solution has been applied.

Why am I not peeling? Is this normal?

There are many reasons why you may not see the peeling. Even if you can’t see something with the naked eye, the VI Peel is still working for you and exfoliating at the cellular level to brighten and improve your skin’s appearance. In some cases, an impacted stratum corneum may result in no peeling. It may take 2 or more treatments to break this down.

Can I peel the skin that is hanging during the peeling process?

No. NEVER PULL BACK on the skin that is shedding. It is recommended to use a small cuticle scissor to trim the exfoliating skin. You can also go and wash the face to help gently remove the hanging skin. If washing the face multiple times a day, be sure to add moisture back to the skin by applying the Post Peel Protectant or coconut oil. You also MUST use the VI Derm SPF 50+ to protect the skin during and after the exfoliation process.

When will I stop peeling?

In general, you receive the peel on day one (1) and start peeling on or around day three (3). Every peel can be different, but in general you can expect peeling during days 3-7 days. Peeling may last additional days for some individuals. Body peeling tends to take a little longer for the peeling process to occur, and peeling can occur during days 3-10.

When can I wear makeup?

After the VI Peel solution is applied to the skin no makeup or any topical products can be applied for the first 4 hours. At the four hour mark, you can then cleanse the skin (optional at this point as the peel self neutralizes) and then apply the first towelette. Then suggested to wait 10 minutes, use the Post Peel Protectant as a moisturizer (and the SPF if having sun exposure/during daytime) and then apply makeup as normal. You can also wear makeup on day two after you have washed your face in the morning and applied the post peel protectant and SPF 50+. You should not use your regular moisturizers on the skin for the full 7-day exfoliation process as it may have alcohol content or other ingredients that we do not want to damage the skin as it is preparing for peeling and shedding.
