What is Botox®?

Botox® is an injectable prescription medicine that is used to help reduce and alleviate wrinkles. Botox® is injected into the muscles that cause crow's feet, the muscles around the eyes, and the frown lines, the muscles between the brows. Botox is the only approved cosmetic injectable on the market that temporarily reduces the wrinkles that have accumulated over time due to squinting and frowning.

How does Botox® work?

Over time frowning and squinting causes fine lines around the eyes. We refer to these as crow's feet and frown lines. Botox® is injected into these muscles and causes them to temporarily relax. You will visibly notice a decrease in these wrinkles around the eyes with Botox® injections.

What can I expect during my Botox® treatment?

We tailor every Botox® treatment to fit you and your needs. We discuss your target areas and our nurse will devise a plan based on your face and wrinkle areas. During your treatment, we inject Botox® around the outside of your eye to target crow's feet. To target your frown wrinkles, we inject Botox® around your brow area. The injection is mildly uncomfortable and many people describe it as feeling like a pinch.

After Treatment

After your treatment, you may resume most of your activities. Post care instructions will be given at your appointment. Botox® may take up to ten days to peak to see your optimal results. Depending on the severity of your wrinkles, the results may last up to four to six months! We are certified and specialists at administering Botox® and when done correctly, Botox®, achieves a natural look. We take all of our treatments seriously and we only provide the best possible service.
